• Objective

Strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching as well as the satisfaction of teachers through a didactically well considered and technically tailored offer.

Objectives

The Service Unit E-Learning and Didactics (organizational chart) is part of the Teaching and Learning Service for Teaching Development and is the central point of contact at BOKU for questions regarding didactics, technical implementation and multimedia teaching content.

The core tasks include the support of teaching at BOKU through:

-Hosting and maintenance of the Moodle-based learning platform BOKUlearn as well as technical support

-Training and documentation in/of BOKUlearn for teachers and students

-Strengthening teaching competence through didactic training and personal consultations

-Partner in the implementation of innovative new teaching formats

-Support and collaboration in cooperations and projects

-Representation of BOKU in the Forum New Media Austria (fnm-a) as well as at professional conferences and meetings in Austria and abroad

At BOKU the concept of blended learning is implemented: classical teaching is not replaced by new media, but meaningfully extended. The consulting services and the internal evaluation of the online courses represent an active contribution of the Service Unit to quality management in teaching.
