Use of Enzymes in Diets for Broiler Chickens

Summary

In this experiment the use of the enzymepreparation POLAN S was tested in diets for broiler chickens. POLAN S consists of alpha-chymotrypsin, bromelain and polysaccharidases (cellulose, pectinase, maltase, inulase, alpha-amylase). In table 11 the most important results are shown in per cent (control group = 100 %). Positive effects of POLAN S were shown on daily weight gain and feed conversion. Composition of carcass and meat was not effected by POLAN S. There were no effects on juiciness and tenderness. But broiler meat of experimental groups tasted worse and was tanked lower than meat of control group. Diets with enzymes can improve performance of young animals. The negative influence of POLAN S on ranks should be tested once more.
