Within the scope of teaching and research tasks, the following laboratory services may be offered according to the demands:

For sample preparation, all devices that comply with the Austrian Standards are available, such as sieving equipment, contamination-free grinding and homogenization processes.

Soil physical investigations
  • Determination of water content and water content (ÖNORM L 1062)

  • For sample preparation there are systems for FSE (solid phase extraction) and ASE (liquid phase extraction) as well as rotavapors and concentrators (miVac / Speedvac).
  • Amino acid analysis from extracts and soil solutions
  • Spectroscopic analyzers such as spectrophotometers, fluorescence spectrometers and chromatographic analysis systems (GC with FID, ECD, NP detectors), liquid chromatograph HPLC with optical and mass detectors LC-MS / MS (eg for pesticide analysis) and gel electrophoresis are available.
