Description

Natural materials have enormous potential as raw materials of the future, and we are looking at how different materials can be used. In addition, we are concerned with the use of secondary streams or residual materials from existing productions. Recycling and ressorces from existing products are investigated and also considered in the development of new materials and production processes from the beginning. The cradle to cradle principle, which is based on the regenerative cycles of nature, plays an important role here. Materials and their application in products are designed in such a way that the materials can circulate either in the natural cycle or in the technical cycle, thus enabling a healthy circular economy. We are looking at what this means for wood-based materials and what they might look like in the future.
