In 1872, a small agricultural and forestry university opened its doors for the first time in Palais Schönborn in Laudongasse in Vienna's 8th district. 150 years later, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) is celebrating the anniversary of its founding after its rapid rise to become one of the most modern life sciences universities in Europe. This day also marks the end of Rector Hubert Hasenauer's term of office, who, together with the new Rector Eva Schulev-Steindl, has invited special guests to take a look back, but above all "ahead". Together with the sponsors, they will present the planned highlights of the anniversary program.
