City of Vienna Anniversary Fund for the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna - Call 2023

By establishing the "City of Vienna Anniversary Fund for the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna", the City of Vienna honours the cooperation with one of Vienna's most important universities on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) in the year 2023.

The synergy potential between science and economy is to be promoted through the joint and coordinated work on questions by BOKU and the City of Vienna.
The objectives of the funds are to:

• strengthen scientific cooperation in key issues for the City of Vienna and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna
• intensify collaboration between science and economy in BOKU's fields of competence and entwined with the City of Vienna's business areas
• promote the link between economy and sustainable development and at the same time strengthen the economy and the quality of life in Vienna
• strengthen Vienna as a university and science location through targeted interlinking of activities of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna and the City of Vienna
• promote young scientists at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna

In 2023, “Stadt Wien-BOKU Research Funding" will fund research projects from all thematic fields of BOKU in connection with the topic “(Viennese) Ways into the Future / Visions of a Sustainable Metropolitan Region: of Cycles and Interactions”
For the “BOKU Best Paper Awards“ and the “BOKU Talent Awards“, submissions from all thematic fields of BOKU are awarded prizes.

Deadline for submission for all of the mentioned funding instruments: 

Applications are requested until 15. July 2023 (Call extended).

Applications for Stadt Wien-BOKU Research Funding: Please note that clearance via the internal pre-submission clearance system (ePM) must be completed at the time of submission.

The decision on the awarding of prizes and research funding lies with the board of trustees of the City of Vienna Anniversary Fund for the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (expected in December 2023).
