Sustainability at BOKU

BOKU's understanding of sustainability

BOKU is committed to the general principles of sustainability and divides its efforts into five areas: Research, Teaching and Studies, Operations, Organizational Culture and Exchange with Society.

The principle of sustainable development means managing, producing and living in such a way that the limits of our planet's ecological carrying capacity are not further exceeded. To achieve this, our social and economic system must be designed to be fair and resilient.

Here you can find the long version of the BOKU Understanding of Sustainability.
