This podcast was created during a workshop on Big Biochar Day 2018 in Die Garten Tulln. This event was part of an FWF-funded science communication project called „Biochar: NET-2-U-2. Biokohle: Negative Emissionstechnologien sind nett zur Umwelt“ under the project management of Rebecca Hood-Nowotny.

During this workshop, questions about Biochar were collected, which were then answered by Biochar Day speakers in an interview. In our Biochar Podcast you will hear interviews with the following experts:

Bruno Glaser, Professor of Soil Biogeochemistry at the Universität Halle.

Gerald Dunst, Managing Director of the Sonnenerde company and in 2012 built the first plant coal production plant in Europe to be approved under waste legislation.

Gabriel Sigmund, arbeitet als Postdoc an der Technischen Universität München. Einer seiner Forschungsschwerpunkte liegt in der Verwendung und Charakterisierung von Biokohle in der Altlastensanierung.

Gerhard Soja, Senior Scientist at the AIT (Autrian Institute of Technology) and also works at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna at the Institute for Chemical and Energy Engineering (IVET).
