What is coaching?

The leadership position represents a high demand. Individual coaching offers the possibility to exclusively address individual issues.

  •     Coaching is a time-limited accompaniment.

  •     The coach supports by asking questions and introducing new perspectives.

  •     The goal of coaching is to expand one's own repertoire of actions as a leader.

  •     Coaching is no training, no professional consulting and no therapy.

How long does coaching last?

Coaching can be taken up once or, depending on the type and complexity of the issue, as a coaching process in several appointments.

A coaching session lasts 50 to 60 minutes.

What can coaching be about?

Taking over a management function

I have taken on a new function and am now in charge of a department. I would like support in the form of an external perspective in order to become clear about my leadership tasks and to strengthen my position.

Employee leadership

Leading employees is part of everyday life for me. I would like to know where I stand as a leader.

Work and time management

I am under enormous time pressure and high workload; my work as well as my private life suffer from it.

Strategic considerations and change processes

I need to make some changes in my department. What is the best way to go about it?

Conflict situations

There is a dispute between two employees in my department. This conflict is affecting the climate of the whole department.

What does coaching cost?

HR Development covers the costs for up to 2 coaching units on a one-time basis and depending on budgetary availability. Coaching sessions beyond this must be financed decentrally.

How do I get a coach?

If you are interested in coaching, please contact personalentwicklung@boku.ac.at.

There are framework agreements with different coaches. Depending on your concerns, we will search for a suitable coach. As soon as you have received confirmation that the costs are covered, you can contact the coach and make an appointment.

Appointments with coaches must be kept, appointments canceled at short notice may be charged.

After the coaching session, please inform HR Development about your satisfaction with the coaching process.
