Requirements for students

For a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) and a related Erasmus+ grant, regular students of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna can apply who meet the following requirements:

  • see requirements for short-term-mobilities

  • Fulfillment of the conditions of participation of the organising/coordinating institution of the BIP.

Erasmus+ duration of funding

All students can receive an Erasmus+ grant for a period of 12 months in the bachelor's program, 12 months in the master's program and 12 months in the doctoral program, i.e. a total of 36 months. These 12 months can be used - in any combination - for Erasmus+ internships, Erasmus+ study visits and/or Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs). Previously completed Erasmus stays at the same study level will be counted against the 12 months, regardless of the university or whether it is a study or internship stay or short term mobility/BIP. Here you can find our FAQ's.

Leave of absence: It is not possible to apply for a leave of absence at the Student Services, as all Erasmus+ participants must be fully enrolled at BOKU during their stay abroad. However, the tuition fee may be waived if your stay takes place during the semester. The ÖH fee must still be paid. See: Exemption from tuition fees
