IBLB experimental Garden
The IBLB experimental Garden covers test plots for Soil and Water Bioengineering (SWB) issues and Landscape Construction, including tree planting and breeding, live stake tests and breeding, SWB trials for bank and slope protection, technical design trials, substate tests, long-term root research and long-term ecological and microclimatic observation of nature-based solutions and green infrastructure. Test sites are base camps for student courses and teaching purposes, workshops and third mission activities.
The Experimental Garden is part of the BOKU Experimental Farm in Groß Enzersdorf, that operates and manages open field farm land focusing agri-related research both for research projects and for training purposes, and both on student and specifically on stakeholder level.
