The professional management of externally funded scientific projects is a major concern at BOKU. Accordingly, internal structures to support the application, processing and accounting of research projects have been established according to need and successively expanded. Nevertheless, the challenges for individual researchers are high, because the funding and program landscape is complex and there is a lot to know and to consider.
The need for knowledge is met by a regular training program: employees from the service facilities as well as external speakers offer seminars and workshops on selected topics in third-party funding management in the BOKU Training Passport. Since 2019, the completion of a certain number of trainings can be verified with a certificate.
At present, most of the training courses for the certificate for the management of externally funded projects are available only in German.
