On Stage Ausstellung

This year’s anniversary exhibition “100 Years of Women's Studies", shows 46 portraits of female experts whose studies and work are closely linked to the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.

The idea behind "On Stage" originated in an international teaching cooperation between four European universities to highlight experts and gender-specific topics in engineering and natural sciences (Leibnitz University Hannover, University of Valencia, BOKU – The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna and TU – the Vienna University of Technology). The starting point for this documentation and exhibition project has been deliberately – to present not only the professional work, but also the everyday life and the personal history of women. "On Stage" was first presented in Hannover in 2010 and travelled to Valencia the following year. The exhibition has already been shown three times since then with different focuses in Vienna.

On_Stage 2020 shows the findings of Master’s degree students taking the seminar course "Gender and diversity aspects in planning and professional practice" in the winter term 2019/20, supervised by teachers from the Institute of Landscape Planning, Institute of Forest Ecology and Institute of Soil Research: Doris Damyanovic, Karin Weber, Monika Sieghardt, student assistants Julia Rohrmanstorfer and Anna Gabor.
