Dr. Marti Duocastella

  • Dr. Duocastella leads a research group on optics at the Nanophysics Department at the Italian Insitute of Technology (Genoa).
  • Dr. Duocastella studied Physics at the University of Barcelona, where he also obtained his PhD. After working for three years in the group of Prof. Craig B. Arnold at Princeton University, he moved to the Italian Institute of Technology.
  • He will teach the basic ideas of modern optics and their use in soft matter and biological problems in the course Introduction to optics: Physics of light propagation, optical systems design and microscopy techniques (803006).
