Examples of Application

  • The most common case is that a head shares his calendar with his office. Some only allow read-only access while others also want their staff to enter appointments.
  • When using a functions account for offices (which is the recommended option) or meeting organizations, other staff members may be allowed access to e-mails and calendars WITHOUT passing on ones password for the functions account.
  • It is common in many organizational units that the office can view the calendars of all staff members so as to easy see when they are available. (Appointments marked as 'private' are of course not shown.)
  • In some organizational units staff members also share their calendars with one another.
